Wire termination: solid conductors accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). Stranded conductors accept 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²), or max 2x 10 mm². AWG equivalents for main contacts: 2x (16 to 12), 2x (14 to 10), or 1x 8. These ranges cover most panel wiring from control-circuit sizes up to motor feeders.
For Type 2 coordination (no welding, contactor remains operational after a fault), the required fuse is gL/gG 25 A. These values guide the selection of branch-circuit protection for the motor starter assembly. The operating factor at 60 Hz is 0.8 to 1.1, which defines the permissible duty cycle relative to the rated current.
