SIRIUS 3RT1024-1AV04 — size S0 power contactor, screw terminals, 7.5 kW at 690 V
The Siemens 3RT1024-1AV04 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact S0 frame, rated for motor switching up to 7.5 kW at 690 V AC (AC-3 duty) and 5.5 kW at 400 V AC (AC-2 duty). Three normally-open main contacts handle the load circuit; screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits simplify panel wiring with stranded conductors up to 4 mm² (main) and 2.5 mm² (aux). Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 via the integrated snap-on feature, or with screws for vibration-prone environments. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with no derating gaps, saving rail space in dense control panels. The front face carries IP20 protection; the connection area is IP00 — standard for enclosed panel installations.
Motor ratings and coordination
AC-3 switching current is 12.5 A at 400 V, supporting the 7.5 kW motor rating at 690 V. For reversing or plugging duty (AC-4), the same 12.5 A applies — this contactor handles the full motor current in both directions without derating the main poles. Type 2 coordination (no weld after fault) requires a 25 A gL/gG fuse upstream; Type 1 coordination (welding allowed but no fire) uses a 63 A gL/gG fuse. Pollution degree 3 suits industrial environments with conductive dust or condensation.
Integration and wiring
Screw terminals accept solid or stranded wire: main contacts take 2x (1–2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5–6 mm²), max 2x 10 mm²; auxiliary contacts take 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²), max 2x 4 mm².
