Rated for AC-4 duty at 12.5 A on 400 V, this contactor handles reversing or inching motor loads where the contactor makes and breaks the stalled rotor current — the harsher switching condition compared to AC-3. For type 1 coordination, the upstream fuse can be gL/gG 63 A; for type 2 coordination (limited contact welding), drop to gL/gG 25 A.
At 45 mm wide, 85 mm tall, and 91 mm deep, the S0 frame fits a standard 45 mm DIN-rail slot. The IP20 front-of-terminal protection is typical for enclosed panels; the terminal body itself is IP00, so live parts are exposed when the panel door is open. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, up to 2x 10 mm² maximum. Auxiliary contact terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), max 2x 4 mm². AWG equivalents are 2x (16 to 12) and 2x (14 to 10) for the main circuit.
Auxiliary contact ratings and environmental limits
The built-in auxiliary contact block (1 NO + 0 NC) is rated 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V DC. Pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution) suits industrial environments. The coil draws 0.8 to 1.1 A at 60 Hz, 480 V rated voltage.
