SIRIUS power contactor for motor switching
It carries three normally-open main contacts and zero NC contacts on the main circuit, so it's a straight motor-starting contactor — no auxiliary NC for interlocking built into the main poles. Rated at 5.5 kW at AC-2 (400 V) for slip-ring motor duty and 12.5 A at AC-4 (400 V) for reversing or inching applications, this contactor handles the heavy switching cycles that come with jogging or plugging a motor.
Duty ratings and coordination
For Type 1 coordination (no-coordination after fault), the maximum fuse is 63 A gL/gG. For Type 2 coordination (limited damage), the fuse drops to 25 A gL/gG. That's the difference between replacing just the fuses vs. replacing the contactor after a short — pick your coordination class before you size the protection.
Panel integration
Side-by-side mounting is permitted with zero clearance between contactors — no derating needed for adjacent units in the same row. The 6 mm spacing to grounded metalwork on the sides is the only air gap to watch. Front face is IP20, terminals are IP00 (finger-safe only when wired and shrouded).
