SIRIUS S0 power contactor — 3RT1024-3AF04
The Siemens 3RT1024-3AF04 is a SIRIUS S0-frame power contactor with three normally-open main contacts and no normally-closed main contacts. It switches motor loads up to 7.5 kW at both 500 V and 690 V, with an AC-4 rating of 12.5 A at 400 V for reversing or inching duty. Screw-type terminals accept 2x (0.25…2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, up to 2x 10 mm² max. The front face carries an IP20 rating; the terminals themselves are IP00. Pollution degree 3 means it tolerates conductive dust and condensation typical of industrial control panels.
Integration and panel fit
The S0 frame measures 45 mm wide, 85 mm high, and 140 mm deep — a standard footprint for a contactor of this rating class. The screw terminals are accessible from the front for wiring with a standard screwdriver. Type 2 coordination (fault withstand without damage to the contactor) requires a gL/gG fuse rated 25 A; Type 1 coordination allows up to 63 A. The auxiliary contact block is separate — this unit carries no built-in auxiliaries, so plan for an add-on block if feedback or interlocking is needed.
