SIRIUS S0 power contactor — 3RT1024-3AP00-1AA0
The Siemens 3RT1024-3AP00-1AA0 is a SIRIUS S0-frame power contactor with three normally-open main contacts, rated for motor switching up to 7.5 kW at both 500 V and 690 V. It carries a 12.5 A AC-4 rating for reversing or inching duty, meaning it handles the higher electrical stress of frequent make-break cycles on inductive motor loads without accelerated contact wear.
For type 1 coordination (no damage after a short-circuit, but the contactor may need replacement), use a gL/gG fuse rated up to 63 A. For type 2 coordination (contactor remains operational after a fault), step down to a 25 A gL/gG fuse. These values define the upstream protection sizing during panel design.
Main circuit terminals accept screw-type connections: 2x (0.25–2.5 mm²) solid, 2x (1–2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5–6 mm²) stranded, up to 2x 10 mm² maximum. AWG equivalents are 2x (16–12) and 2x (14–10), with a single 8 AWG conductor allowed. The 91 mm depth leaves clearance for wire bending inside the enclosure.
