It carries a 400 V AC 50 Hz coil and is rated for 7.5 kW at 400 V AC-3 duty.
Coil voltage and switching ratings
The coil is wound for 400 V AC at 50 Hz, with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz. For auxiliary contact switching, the 3RT1024-3AR60 is rated for 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — covering typical PLC-level signals and control transformer loads. The mechanical life is listed at 10 million operations, which is the contactor body's endurance before wear; electrical life depends on the switched load and duty cycle.
The contactor is designed for use with upstream short-circuit protection. For type of coordination 2 (contactor remains operational after a fault), the fuse drops to gL/gG 25 A. This distinction matters when specifying the panel's branch protection — coordination 2 keeps the line running after a fault without swapping the contactor. The IP20 rating on the front means finger-safe touch protection; the terminals themselves are IP00, so the contactor must be installed inside an enclosure that provides the final system IP rating.
Storage temperature exceeds this range, but the -25 °C low end is the limit for reliable coil pick-up in cold starts.
