Siemens 3RT1024-3AV00 — SIRIUS S0 Power Contactor
Terminals and Wiring
Main power circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting solid or stranded copper: 2x (1 … 2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5 … 6 mm²), or a single 10 mm² conductor. AWG equivalents are 2x (16 … 12), 2x (14 … 10), and 1x 8. The auxiliary and control circuit uses spring-loaded terminals, sized for 2x (0.25 … 2.5 mm²) solid or 2x (24 … 14) AWG. That split — screw on the power side, spring on the control side — is a practical detail: the main lugs tolerate the heavier pull-off torque of power wiring, while the aux terminals save panel-builder time on the signal loop.
For Type 2 coordination (no weld risk after a short circuit), Siemens specifies a gL/gG fuse of 25 A upstream. For Type 1 coordination (device may be damaged but no fire or arc flash), the fuse can be 63 A.
