SIRIUS S0 power contactor, 110 V coil, RC suppressor
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1024-3EG24 is a size S0 power contactor rated for motor switching up to 7.5 kW at 690 V and 7.5 kW at 500 V, with a 110 V 50/60 Hz coil. It carries AC-2 and AC-4 ratings at 400 V (5.5 kW and 12.5 A respectively), so it handles both slip-ring motor starting and plugging/inching duty. The built-in RC surge suppressor means you don't need an external snubber for coil suppression — one less part to panel-mount.
Mounting and integration
Snap-on or screw-mount onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. The 45 mm width and 88 mm height fit standard S0 panel layouts. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with zero clearance between units — no derating for adjacent contactors in the same row. The front face is IP20; the terminal area is IP00, so keep live parts behind a panel door or cover.
Terminal and wiring
Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept 2x (0.25...2.5 mm²) solid, 2x (1...2.5 mm²) stranded, 2x (2.5...6 mm²) stranded, or up to 2x 10 mm². AWG equivalents are 2x (16...12), 2x (14...10), or 1x 8. For type 2 coordination, the required upstream fuse is gL/gG 25 A. The auxiliary contacts are rated at 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — covering control circuits across common voltage levels.
