The Siemens 3RT1025-1AP04-ZX95 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the S0 frame, with three normally-open main contacts rated for AC-3 duty at 690 V delivering 11 kW, or 10 kW at 500 V. The 24 VDC coil draws 10 A at rated voltage. It uses screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits. The contactor mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, and its front face carries an IP20 rating — safe for standard panel environments with no additional finger protection needed at the operator interface. The terminals themselves are IP00, so panel builders must ensure the wiring compartment is enclosed.
DIN-rail fit and panel layout
At 45 mm wide, 85 mm tall, and 140 mm deep, the S0 frame fits standard 35 mm DIN rail with side-by-side mounting allowed — no mandatory spacing between units. The 6 mm clearance at the side (cited for arc-flash containment) must be maintained to adjacent metalwork or grounded surfaces. Wire range for the main circuit accepts 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, up to 2x 10 mm² maximum. Auxiliary control wiring uses 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). Strip lengths are standard for screw terminals; torque values are listed in the Siemens datasheet.
Coil and auxiliary ratings
The coil is rated for 50 Hz nominal. The auxiliary contact block (2 instantaneous contacts) handles switching at 24 V up to 10 A, 60 V up to 2 A, 110 V up to 1 A, and 220 V up to 0.3 A. At 230 V AC the auxiliary circuit switches 6 A; at 400 V AC it handles 3 A. The contactor is rated for AC-2 duty at 400 V at 7.5 kW, and AC-4 at 400 V at 15.5 A — useful for reversing or inching applications where the load is switched under full motor current. Operating temperature spans -25 °C to +60 °C, with a maximum altitude of 2 000 m.
