SIRIUS S0 power contactor — panel fit and ratings
The Siemens 3RT1025-1AV60 is a SIRIUS-branded power contactor in the S0 frame size, with 3 normally open main contacts. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022, occupying 45 mm of panel width. The front face carries an IP20 rating; the terminal area is IP00, so finger-safe above the panel but the wiring zone expects enclosure protection. Rated for motor switching at 11 kW on a 690 V three-phase supply under AC-3 duty, and 7.5 kW at 400 V AC-2. The AC-4 rating at 400 V is 15.5 A — relevant for reversing or inching applications where the contactor makes and breaks stalled-rotor current. For resistive loads (AC-1), the maximum operating current is 10 A. DC switching capability is given per voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with a maximum operating altitude of 2 000 m. Pollution degree 3 means it's rated for industrial environments with conductive pollution. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm clearance to adjacent devices.
Coordination and wiring
Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting solid conductors up to 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), and a maximum of 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). For stranded wire, the range is 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²), and max 2x 10 mm². AWG equivalents: 2x (16 to 12), 2x (14 to 10), and 1x 8. Strip length and torque specs should follow the standard SIRIUS S0 terminal data. For short-circuit protection, Type 1 coordination requires a gL/gG fuse rated 63 A; Type 2 coordination requires 25 A. The mechanical life is rated at 10 million operating cycles.
