Integrator's terse spec recap
The 3RT1025-3XF40-1LA2 is a three-pole contactor in the S0 frame, rated for AC-3 duty switching 7.5 kW at 400 V. The DC 110 V coil accepts a control voltage range of 0.7 to 1.25 times the rated supply voltage, with a solid-state control block that includes an integrated varistor for coil suppression — no external snubber needed. Cage clamp terminals accept solid or ferruled stranded conductors; strip length and wire gauge follow the terminal marking on the device. Upright mounting position is specified; verify orientation in the panel layout to avoid derating.
Panel integration and wiring
Size S0 snaps onto a standard DIN rail. The cage clamp connection reduces wiring time compared to screw terminals — no torque driver needed, just a screwdriver to open the spring. The solid-state control block draws minimal coil inrush, so a standard 24 VDC power supply can drive multiple contactors without oversizing. The integrated varistor clamps the inductive kickback from the coil, protecting the PLC output or relay driving it. Upright mounting ensures proper heat dissipation from the main poles; side-by-side mounting may require derating per the manufacturer's thermal guidelines.
