The 24 VAC 50/60 Hz coil draws its control voltage from a standard panel transformer.
The AC-4 rating of 15.5 A at 400 V governs plugging and inching duty — frequent reversing or jogging cycles. For a standard start-run motor load, the AC-3 rating (11 kW at 500/690 V) is the one that sizes the contactor. Short-circuit coordination: Type 2 requires a 35 A gL/gG fuse upstream; Type 1 allows up to 100 A gL/gG. Type 2 coordination limits contactor damage after a fault, so it's the spec to follow for a maintained panel where downtime for contactor swap matters. Main circuit terminals accept solid/stranded wire: 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75...4 mm²). AWG equivalents: 2x (16...12), 2x (14...10), 1x 8. The screw terminals are standard for the S0 frame — no cage-clamp option on this variant.
Integration notes
Side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm spacing at the side, saving panel width when ganging multiple contactors.
