It is designed for switching motor loads under AC-2 duty (slip-ring motors, starting and running) and resistive loads under AC-1, with a rated power of 11 kW at 400 V in AC-2 and 11 kW at both 500 V and 690 V.
The AC-12 rating of 10 A maximum operating current applies to resistive loads and control circuits, giving a clean upper bound for non-inductive switching. This matters when coordinating with upstream protection in a motor control center — the 35 A limit is the one to design to if you want to avoid replacing the contactor after a fault.
Mounting and wiring in the panel
The screw terminals accept solid conductors from 2x 0.5 to 1.5 mm² up to 2x 0.75 to 4 mm², and stranded conductors from 2x 1 to 2.5 mm² up to 2x 2.5 to 6 mm², with a maximum of 2x 10 mm² — covering typical motor feeder cables up to about 8 AWG. The front of the contactor carries an IP20 rating, meaning finger-safe against accidental contact, while the terminal area itself is IP00 — so live parts are exposed during wiring and the panel enclosure provides the overall protection.
