It is rated for 11 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty (slip-ring motor starting) and 15.5 A in AC-4 duty (plugging/inching). The coil is 24 VDC. This is a current-production part, still in active manufacture.
Side-by-side mounting is permitted with no derating gap required.
Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (1–2.5 mm²) stranded or 2x (2.5–6 mm²) solid, up to 2x 10 mm² max. Auxiliary/solid terminals accept 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75–4 mm²). AWG equivalents: main 2x (16–12) or 2x (14–10), solid 1x 8. Strip lengths follow standard Siemens practice — 8–10 mm for screw clamps.
Short-circuit coordination
This matters when selecting branch protection for motor starter assemblies.
The integrated auxiliary contacts (2 instantaneous) are rated across common control voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V. These are the thermal current ratings — derate for inductive loads per the standard utilization categories.
