SIRIUS S0 power contactor — 11 kW at 400 V, screw terminals, current lifecycle
The Siemens 3RT1026-1AG10 is a SIRIUS S0-frame power contactor rated for 11 kW motor switching at 400 V AC-3, with the same power rating holding at 500 V and 690 V. That means it handles standard three-phase induction motors up to 11 kW across the common European voltage range without derating the power. The AC-4 rating of 15.5 A at 400 V covers the inrush-heavy reversing, plugging, and jogging duty cycles that burn out lesser contactors — this is the number that matters if your application cycles the motor under load. Mounting is screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. The 45 mm width and 85 mm height fit standard S0 panel cutouts; side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm spacing to adjacent devices for heat dissipation. Main and auxiliary/control circuits use screw-type terminals. Wire ranges for main contacts accept 2x (1...2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5...6 mm²), max 2x 10 mm²; auxiliary/control terminals take 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75...4 mm²). Strip and torque per the terminal marking on the contactor.
Coordination and protection
For Type 2 coordination (no weld after fault) the required upstream fuse is gL/gG 35 A. For Type 1 coordination (device may be damaged but no fire risk) the fuse can be gL/gG 100 A. The 35 A limit is the one to design for if uptime matters — you clear the fault without welding the main contacts. Pollution degree 3 means the contactor is rated for the conductive-dust and condensation environment typical of industrial control panels — no additional conformal coating required for ordinary factory air.
Environmental and operating range
Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C during operation. The coil operates at 50/60 Hz with a rated control supply voltage of 100 V at 50 Hz and 110 V at 60 Hz. Coil draw at 24 V rated value is 10 A — that's the inrush, not the hold; the actual sealed VA is lower. Mechanical endurance is 10 million operating cycles typical. Front-face protection is IP20; terminal area is IP00 — the contactor is designed for enclosure mounting, not open-panel washdown.
