What it is and where it lands
The Siemens 3RT1026-1AG20-ZW98 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the S0 frame size, built for switching motor loads in control panels. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022, so it drops into any standard panel rail without adapters. The 45 mm width leaves room for adjacent devices in a crowded enclosure. Rated 11 kW at AC-2 400 V and 15.5 A at AC-4 400 V, this contactor handles the inductive load of a motor start-run cycle. AC-2 covers slip-ring motors; AC-4 covers plugging and inching. The 10 A continuous rating at AC-12 (resistive) gives a headroom check for non-motor loads.
Terminals and wiring
Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (1...2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5...6 mm²) solid/stranded, with a max of 2x 10 mm². Control circuit terminals take 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75...4 mm²). AWG equivalents: main contacts 2x (16...12), 2x (14...10), 1x 8. Strip length and torque follow standard Siemens S0 practice — no special tooling needed. Side-by-side mounting is allowed without derating at 6 mm spacing. Front face carries IP20; the terminal area is IP00 — keep live parts behind a panel door or cover.
