What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RT1026-1AK64-3MA0 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the S0 frame size, rated for switching three-phase motor loads up to 11 kW at both 500 V and 690 V under AC-3 duty. For heavy-duty jogging or inching applications, the AC-4 rating is 15.5 A at 400 V — that is the current it can break reliably during frequent starts and reversals. The contactor mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, either snapped on or screwed, and occupies 45 mm of panel width. The AC-2 rating of 11 kW at 400 V covers wound-rotor motor switching, where the contactor must handle slip-ring currents without welding. Main circuit connections are screw-type terminals accepting up to 2x 10 mm² or 1x 8 AWG, with a separate solid/stranded capacity of 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) through 2x (0.75...4 mm²) for the coil and auxiliary wiring.
Integration and environment
Rated for side-by-side mounting without derating at up to 60 °C ambient, with a pollution degree of 3 — suitable for industrial enclosures where conductive dust or condensation may occur. The front face carries IP20 protection (finger-safe terminals), while the connection points themselves are IP00, meaning the panel builder must ensure no accidental contact at the lug area. Operating altitude is rated to 2 000 m without derating. Coil operating range spans 0.8...1.1 × rated voltage at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with rated coil voltages of 110 V at 50 Hz and 120 V at 60 Hz. The auxiliary contact block includes 2 normally open instantaneous contacts, rated for 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — enough for direct PLC input or small relay loads.
