What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 3RT1026-1AN24-ZX95 is a SIRIUS power contactor in the compact S0 frame size. It's rated for 11 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty, which covers slip-ring motor starting and reversing applications. The 45 mm width and screw-and-snap-on mounting to 35 mm DIN rail (DIN EN 50022) mean it fits standard panel layouts without special adapters.
Key ratings and what they mean for your panel
The AC-4 rating of 15.5 A at 400 V is the one to watch for plugging or inching duty — that's the higher-stress switching cycle where the contactor makes and breaks full motor current. For AC-2 (slip-ring motors), the 11 kW rating at 400 V governs. The operating current at AC-12 (resistive load) maxes out at 10 A. If you're coordinating with upstream protection, Type 1 coordination calls for a 100 A gL/gG fuse; Type 2 requires 35 A. The operating temperature range of -25 to +60 °C covers most indoor panel environments, and the degree of pollution 3 rating means it's suited for industrial atmospheres with conductive dust or moisture.
Mounting and wiring details
Mounts via screw or snap-on to 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with a 6 mm clearance at the side. Main current circuit connections are screw-type terminals accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) stranded, up to max 2x 4 mm². For AWG, that's 2x (16 to 12) solid, 2x (14 to 10) stranded, or 1x 8. The front face carries an IP20 rating for basic finger protection; the terminal area is IP00.
