SIRIUS S0 power contactor — panel-fit and motor duty
It occupies a 45 mm wide footprint, 85 mm tall, 140 mm deep — a standard slot in any S0-based panel layout. Rated for AC-4 duty at 15.5 A at 400 V, this contactor handles the severe switching of motor starting and plugging where inrush and breaking currents are high. For AC-2 applications (slip-ring motor starting), it carries 11 kW at 400 V. The AC-12 maximum operating current is 10 A, covering resistive and solid-state loads. Auxiliary contact ratings span the control-voltage range: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V DC — enough for most PLC or relay interface circuits. The coil holds at 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz.
Coordination and wiring
Type 1 coordination requires a 100 A gL/gG fuse; The screw terminals accept solid conductors from 2x 0.5 to 1.5 mm² up to 2x 4 mm², and stranded from 2x 1 to 2.5 mm² up to 2x 10 mm². AWG equivalents: 2x 16–12 solid, 2x 14–10 stranded, 1x 8 max.
Integration and sourcing
The S0 size is a common footprint across the SIRIUS contactor family, so panel cutouts and busbar systems designed for S0 will accept this unit without modification.
