SIRIUS Size S0 power contactor for motor switching
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1026-1AP60-0UA0 is a Size S0 power contactor rated for motor loads: 11 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty and 15.5 A in AC-4 at 400 V. It also carries 11 kW at 690 V, covering 400 V and 690 V line supplies common in European industrial panels. The contactor snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, fitting into a 45 mm wide slot — standard for a three-pole contactor in this frame size.
Mounting and integration into a panel
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail. The 45 mm width and 85 mm height leave room for auxiliary contact blocks or a solid-state overload relay on the same rail. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, with a 6 mm clearance to adjacent devices for heat dissipation. The main circuit uses screw-type terminals accepting 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²) stranded, up to 2x 4 mm² max — typical for control panel wiring in the 4–11 kW motor range.
Coordination and protection requirements
For Type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor on a short circuit), the required upstream fuse is gL/gG 35 A. For Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after a fault), a 100 A gL/gG fuse is permitted. The contactor is rated for pollution degree 3, meaning it is suitable for industrial environments with conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive due to condensation.
