Coil and Contact Ratings
The 3RT1026-1BM40: The magnet coil draws 5.4 W DC for both closing and holding, so the control transformer can be sized for a steady load. Contact ratings span the voltage range: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 11 kW at both 500 V and 690 V. The auxiliary contact circuit is rated for a maximum operational current of 10 A in AC-12 duty.
Fault Coordination and Environmental Limits
For Type 2 coordination (no damage to the contactor on a short circuit) the required upstream fuse is 35 A gL/gG. For Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after a fault) the fuse can be 100 A gL/gG. The contactor is rated for pollution degree 3 and operates from -25 °C to +60 °C. The front face carries an IP20 rating; the terminal area is IP00, so panel builders should account for clearance to live parts.
Wiring and Mounting
Main circuit terminals accept solid or stranded conductors: 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5 to 6 mm²), or max 2x 10 mm². Auxiliary terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). AWG equivalents are provided for both. The dimensions are 45 mm wide, 85 mm tall, and 101 mm deep. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, so multiple contactors can pack tightly on the rail.
