SIRIUS S0 power contactor — 3RT1026-3AB00
The Siemens 3RT1026-3AB00 is a SIRIUS S0-frame power contactor with three normally-open main contacts and no normally-closed main contacts, rated for 11 kW at both 500 V and 690 V in AC-3 duty.
For standard across-the-line starting (AC-3), the 11 kW at 690 V rating covers most 400 V and 690 V three-phase induction motors up to that power. The S0 frame size means the contactor occupies the same DIN-rail footprint as other S0 accessories (overload relays, auxiliary contact blocks), so panel layout stays consistent across a BOM. Type 2 coordination requires a 35 A gL/gG fuse upstream; Type 1 coordination allows a 100 A fuse. This matters for selectivity studies — if the panel's SCCR is built around Type 2, the 35 A limit is the binding constraint. The IP20 front face protects against finger contact during panel access; the terminals themselves are IP00, so the contactor must be mounted inside a closed enclosure.
Panel integration
Screw terminals accept 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) stranded, with a maximum of 2x 10 mm². For AWG, that's 2x (16 to 12) solid or 2x (14 to 10) stranded, up to 1x 8 AWG. Strip length and torque values follow the terminal marking on the contactor — no special tooling needed beyond a standard screwdriver.
