Its headline motor rating is 11 kW at 500 V in AC-3 duty (starting and disconnecting squirrel-cage motors under load), and it also carries an 11 kW rating at 690 V — meaning it handles the same motor power at higher line voltages without derating the load.
Short-circuit coordination is specified: with Type 2 coordination (minimal damage to the contactor after a fault), the required upstream fuse is a gL/gG 35 A; with Type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after a fault), a 100 A gL/gG fuse is allowed. The S0 frame is 45 mm wide, 85 mm tall, 90 mm deep — a compact footprint that fits standard 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022, with screw mounting also possible.
Main circuit terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.25–2.5 mm²), 2x (2.5–6 mm²), or max 2x 10 mm² (or AWG equivalents 2x 16–12, 2x 14–10, 1x 8). That covers most panel wiring up to about 6 AWG. Front face carries IP20 finger protection; the terminal area itself is IP00 — so the wiring zone expects enclosure protection, but the operator-facing side is safe to touch.
The SIRIUS platform is Siemens' standard contactor family, widely stocked and supported. No cross-reference needed for active builds; just confirm your coil voltage and auxiliary needs match the variant.
