Siemens 3RT1034-1AN60 — SIRIUS S2 Power Contactor
The Siemens 3RT1034-1AN60 is a SIRIUS S2 power contactor, rated for motor switching in AC-2 duty at 15 kW at 400 V. It also handles 18.5 kW at 500 V and 10 kW at 690 V, covering a wide voltage range across 50/60 Hz supplies. It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 and measures 55 mm wide, 112 mm tall, and 115 mm deep — a standard S2 footprint that fits alongside other SIRIUS components.
That's the duty class that governs the real-world thermal and electrical endurance for motor control. For higher-voltage 500 V systems, the contactor still delivers 18.5 kW, and at 690 V it handles 10 kW. This gives flexibility across common industrial supply voltages without oversizing the contactor. Switching frequency limits are specified per duty: 1,200 operations per hour at AC-1, 1,000 at AC-3, and 250 at AC-4. Auxiliary contact ratings are given for 24 V (10 A), 60 V (2 A), 110 V (1 A), 220 V (0.3 A), 230 V (6 A), and 400 V (3 A) — these cover most control circuit voltages. The 230 V 6 A rating is worth noting for common control transformers.
The screw terminals accept solid conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). Stranded wire range is 2x (0.75 to 25 mm²). Solid or stranded: 2x (0.75 to 16 mm²). Strip length and torque specs are per the standard SIRIUS terminal pattern. IP20 on the front, IP00 at the terminals — the terminal area is not finger-safe once wired, so panel builders should account for cover or shrouding in the enclosure layout.
