Integrator's note on the 3RT1034-1BB44-0AA1-ZW97
The contactor is rated for AC-3 motor switching at 18.5 kW at 500 V and 10 kW at 690 V, and for AC-4 duty (frequent inching/jogging) at 29 A at 400 V. Mechanical life is typical 10,000,000 operations.
The 24 VDC coil picks up at 0.8 x rated voltage (19.2 V) and drops out at 1.1 x rated voltage (26.4 V) — so it holds reliably on a nominal 24 VDC supply but releases if the bus sags below about 19 V. The DC switching capacity is 10 A at 24 V, derating to 0.3 A at 220 V; for AC loads, the contactor handles 6 A at 230 V and 3 A at 400 V. The arcing time of 10 to 15 ms is typical for this class, and the maximum operating rates vary by duty: 1200 cycles/h for AC-1 (resistive), 1000 for AC-3 (motor run), and 250 for AC-4 (severe jogging).
Screw terminals on the main circuit accept solid wire: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). For stranded wire, the range is 2x (0.75 to 25 mm²). The minimum permissible cross-section at 40 °C is 16 mm².
Width 55 mm, height 112 mm, depth 179 mm. Side-by-side mounting is allowed with no derating gap, which simplifies panel layout.
