It is rated for 18.5 kW at 500 V in AC-3 duty, which is the standard category for starting and stopping squirrel-cage motors — that 18.5 kW figure is the one that governs the real motor load it can handle, not a resistive rating. At 400 V AC-2 (slip-ring motors, moderate overloads) it is rated for 15 kW, and in AC-4 duty (plugging, inching) it handles 29 A at 400 V.
Screw-type terminals on the main current circuit accept 2x (0.75... 25 mm²) stranded or 2x (0.25... 2.5 mm²) solid.
The SIRIUS series is Siemens' standard industrial contactor line, so supply continuity is the norm.
