The main current circuit uses screw-type terminals, accepting solid conductors 2x (0.25... 2.5 mm²) and stranded conductors 2x (0.75... 25 mm²), with a separate terminal range of 2x (0.75... 16 mm²) for solid or stranded wire.
Rated at 15 kW for AC-2 duty at 400 V, this contactor handles wound-rotor motor loads or moderate inrush applications — the AC-2 rating covers starting and switching off slip-ring motors. For higher-voltage motor circuits, it carries 18.5 kW at 500 V and 10 kW at 690 V, giving headroom for 480 V or 600 V class systems common in North American and export panels. Auxiliary contact ratings cover 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — sufficient for pilot duty and PLC input signaling in most control schemes. Mechanical life is rated at 10,000,000 operations typical, with maximum switching frequencies of 1,200 cycles/hour at AC-1, 750 at AC-2, 1,000 at AC-3, and 250 at AC-4 — the AC-4 figure is the limiting factor for plugging or inching duty.
Environmental and Installation Constraints
Degree of pollution is rated 3, meaning it tolerates conductive pollution typical in industrial enclosures — no special conformal coating needed for normal panel conditions. IP20 on the front (finger-safe) and IP00 at the terminals means the contactor body is protected from accidental contact, but the terminal area requires enclosure protection against dust and moisture.
