Rated for 22 kW at 500 V and 18.5 kW at AC-2 duty at 400 V, it handles the heavy inductive switching of wound-rotor or slip-ring motors. The AC-4 rating of 35 A at 400 V covers reversing and inching applications where contact wear is higher.
Termination and wiring
Main current circuit uses screw-type terminals. Solid conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). Stranded conductors: 2x (0.75 to 25 mm²). At 40 °C, minimum permissible cross-section is 16 mm². Front face is IP20; terminals are IP00, so the contactor needs enclosure protection in washdown or dusty environments. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, which saves rail space in multi-contactor groups.
Mechanical life is typical 10,000,000 operations. Maximum switching frequency varies by duty: AC-1 at 1,200 cycles/hour, AC-2 at 600, AC-3 at 1,000, AC-4 at 300.
