Part in context
It is rated for 22 kW at 500 V in AC-3 duty (standard motor switching) and 18.5 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty (slip-ring motor switching). The 690 V AC-3 rating is 11.4 kW. This is the rating that governs real motor load selection — AC-3 at the line voltage. Coil is 220 V at 50 Hz and 220 V at 60 Hz, with an operating range of 0.8...1.1 x Us at 50 Hz and 0.85...1.1 x Us at 60 Hz. The auxiliary contact block on the front carries 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — enough for a PLC input or a holding circuit.
Width is 55 mm, depth 115 mm, height 112 mm. Side-by-side mounting is permitted — no gap required for heat dissipation in standard panels, but check the AC-3 switching frequency (max 1000 cycles/h) for thermal accumulation in a tightly packed row. Pollution degree 3, so it is rated for the typical industrial panel environment. Main circuit terminals accept 2x (0.75...25 mm²) stranded or 2x (0.25...2.5 mm²) solid. Auxiliary/control terminals accept 2x (0.75...16 mm²) stranded. Screw terminals are the only termination on this variant — no spring-cage option. Front face is IP20; terminal area is IP00 (open), so finger-safe covers or terminal shrouds are needed if the panel is live during access.
