SIRIUS S2 power contactor, 42 VAC coil
The Siemens 3RT1036-1AD00-1AA0 is a SIRIUS-brand power contactor in the S2 frame size, designed for motor switching and general load control in industrial panels. It carries a 42 VAC 50 Hz coil with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz, so the coil pulls in reliably even if the control transformer sags to about 34 V. Screw-type terminals on the main circuit accept solid conductors up to 2x 4 mm² or stranded up to 2x 25 mm², which covers most motor branch wiring through 16 mm² at 40 °C ambient. Rated for 22 kW at AC-2 duty (400 V) and 41 A at AC-4 (400 V), this contactor handles the inrush and switching wear of slip-ring motors or frequent reversing applications. The AC-3 maximum switching rate of 800 cycles per hour suits conveyor and pump cycling; the AC-4 rate drops to 300 cycles per hour for plugging or inching duty.
The S2 frame is 55 mm wide, 112 mm tall, 115 mm deep — fits standard panel layouts with side-by-side mounting permitted (no derating gap required for most loads).
Switching frequency and auxiliary ratings
Maximum switching frequencies by duty: AC-1 resistive loads at 1 000 cycles/h, AC-2 at 400 cycles/h, AC-3 at 800 cycles/h, AC-4 at 300 cycles/h. DC switching ratings are provided for common control voltages: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V. AC ratings at 230 V reach 6 A, at 400 V reach 3 A, and at 690 V the motor power rating is 11.4 kW — useful for delta-connected motors on 690 V line supplies.
