The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1036-1AK60-ZW96 is a size S2 power contactor rated for 30 kW at 500 V in AC-3 duty, meaning it handles motor switching loads up to that power level without derating. The AC-3 rating is the one that governs real induction-motor duty — the 22 kW at 400 V AC-2 and 11.4 kW at 690 V cover resistive or lightly inductive circuits, but the 30 kW at 500 V is the headline number for a 3-phase motor on a 480 V line. Mechanical life is rated at 10 million operations typical, with maximum switching rates of 800 cycles per hour in AC-3 and 1000 in AC-1. The coil operating range holds at 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at both 50 and 60 Hz, with an arcing time of 10 to 15 ms and an AC operating time of 7 to 20 ms.
