Panel fit and ratings
The Siemens 3RT1036-1AP08-0MA0-ZX95 is a SIRIUS power contactor in size S2, 55 mm wide, 112 mm tall, 164 mm deep — a compact footprint for a 22 kW motor at 400 V AC-2 duty. Screw terminals accept solid wire up to 4 mm² (two per clamp) or stranded up to 25 mm² (two per clamp). Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022; side-by-side mounting is allowed, so no extra spacing between units on the rail. Coil is 230 V 50 Hz, with a rated operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times nominal at 50 Hz. AC-3 switching (motor start/run) is rated at 800 operations per hour, AC-1 (resistive) at 1000 ops/h, AC-4 (plugging/inching) at 300 ops/h. Mechanical life is 10 million operations. The front panel is IP20; the terminal area is IP00 — typical for panel-mount contactors where the enclosure provides the overall protection. Pollution degree 3, operating temperature -25 to +60 °C, storage -55 to +80 °C.
Wiring and integration
Main circuit terminals: screw-type, accepting solid 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²), and stranded 2x (0.75 to 25 mm²). For solid or stranded, 2x (0.75 to 16 mm²) is also listed. At 40 °C, minimum permissible conductor size is 16 mm². Arcing time is 7 to 20 ms at AC, 10 to 15 ms typical. Auxiliary contact ratings: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V.
