SIRIUS S2 power contactor for motor and resistive loads
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1036-1AR60-ZX95 is a Size S2 power contactor rated for 22 kW at 400 V in AC-2 duty, meaning it handles slip-ring motor starting and reversing — the kind of load that draws higher inrush than a standard squirrel-cage but still needs controlled switching. At AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors) it carries 30 kW at 500 V and 11.4 kW at 690 V, so it covers most 400 V and 690 V motor circuits in a typical panel. The screw-type main terminals accept up to 25 mm² stranded, and the auxiliary contacts are rated 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V — enough for PLC-level interlocking or indicator lamps. Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022; side-by-side mounting is allowed, so no derating gap needed between units.
