Motor switching ratings and duty cycles
For AC-4 (inching/plugging) the contactor carries 41 A at 400 V, which is the higher thermal stress case. Maximum switching rates are 400 cycles/hour for AC-2 and 300 cycles/hour for AC-4, so this part is not intended for high-speed jogging applications.
Coil and auxiliary ratings
The coil operates at 24 V rated value drawing 10 A — this is the inrush current for the solenoid, not the holding current. At 230 V rated value the auxiliary contacts carry 6 A, suitable for pilot duty in control circuits. The contactor's mechanical life is typically 10 million operations, with electrical life dependent on the switching category and load current.
The front of the contactor is rated IP20 (finger-safe terminals), while the terminal area itself is IP00 — panel builders must account for this in the enclosure design. RoHS compliance is evidenced by the substance prohibition date of 05/01/2012.
