What It Is & Where It Goes
It mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022 via screw and snap-on fastening, fitting into standard enclosure layouts with a 55 mm width and 112 mm height. Rated 22 kW at 400 V in AC-3 duty (the standard motor-switching category for squirrel-cage motors), it handles the inrush and breaking of running induction motors up to that load. The AC-4 rating of 41 A at 400 V covers reversing or plugging applications where the contactor makes and breaks stalled rotor currents. At 500 V the contactor is rated for 30 kW, and at 690 V for 11.4 kW — useful for higher-voltage motor circuits common in mining, pumping, or marine installations.
Termination & Wiring
Solid wire accepts 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), and max 2x (0.75 to 4 mm²). Stranded wire accepts 2x (0.75 to 25 mm²) for the main circuit. The control circuit terminals accept 2x (0.75 to 16 mm²) solid or stranded. These ranges cover common panel wire sizes from signal-level to motor power.
Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. Front-side protection is IP20; terminal area is IP00. RoHS compliance date is 05/01/2012, covering the EU RoHS directive.
