Product Identification and Compliance
It is designed for screw-type terminal connections on the main current circuit.
Electrical Ratings and Application Context
The headline motor rating for this contactor is 22 kW at AC-2 duty at 400 V, 50/60 Hz. This is distinct from AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors) or AC-4 (plugging/inching) — the specifier must match the duty class to the load. For the control circuit, the contactor coil is rated for 50 Hz at 230 V and 60 Hz at 230 V. The operating range is 0.8 to 1.1 times the rated voltage at 50 Hz, and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz. The contactor will pick up reliably within these bands; below the lower threshold, dropout may occur. The auxiliary contact ratings are provided for DC switching: 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 6 A at 230 V AC, and 3 A at 400 V AC. These values govern the auxiliary circuit design — for example, a PLC 24 VDC output driving the coil must be rated for the inrush, not just the hold-in current. Mechanical endurance is listed at 10,000,000 operating cycles typical. The maximum switching frequency varies by duty: 1,000 cycles/hour at AC-1, 400 at AC-2, 800 at AC-3, and 300 at AC-4.
Side-by-side mounting is permitted, which allows dense panel layouts without mandatory spacing, provided the thermal derating is observed. Physical dimensions are 55 mm width, 112 mm height, and 164 mm depth. The depth of 164 mm must be accounted for in enclosure depth selection, particularly when a door-mounted disconnect or operator interface is present. Terminal capacity: solid 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) for control; stranded 2x (0.75 to 25 mm²) for main circuit; stranded 2x (0.75 to 16 mm²) for auxiliary.
