Mounting and wiring details
The 3RT1045-1XP00-0GA0: Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm or 75 mm standard DIN rail — that's the usual top-hat profile found in every enclosure. The main current circuit uses screw-type terminals, which are the workhorse connection for panel builders who prefer a screwdriver over a cage clamp. Solid conductors from 0.5 mm² up to 4 mm² (two per clamp) are accepted, and stranded goes up to 50 mm² (two conductors). For heavier feeds, the solid-or-stranded range covers 2.5 to 16 mm². Side-by-side mounting is allowed, so you can gang contactors without a gap — handy when the enclosure is tight. The front carries IP20 protection (finger-safe with the cover or box terminal), but the terminal body itself is IP00, meaning the wiring area is open and needs enclosure-level protection.
Electrical ratings and operating conditions
Rated for 50/60 Hz supply. The operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C during operation, with storage from -55 to +80 °C — that covers most indoor panel environments and unheated warehouses. Pollution degree 3 means it's suited for industrial atmospheres with conductive dust or occasional condensation, which is the default for most factory-floor enclosures. Mechanical life is typical 10 million operations; switching frequency varies by duty: AC-3 maxes at 1 000 cycles per hour, AC-1 at 900, AC-2 at 400, and AC-4 at 300. The auxiliary contact ratings at various voltages (10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V) give you the curve for control-circuit loads like PLC inputs or indicator lamps. Arcing time is 10 to 15 ms, which is normal for this frame size and helps with coordination in a motor branch circuit.
