The 3RT1046-3AL20-ZX95: Dimensions are 146 mm high, 70 mm wide, 139 mm deep — that 70 mm width is the S3 frame footprint, and it snap-mounts onto 35 mm or 75 mm DIN rail (screw and snap-on mounting).
Terminal wiring — screw-type, two-wire capacity
Solid wire range: 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) for the smaller terminals, and 2x (2.5 to 16 mm²) for the larger ones. Stranded wire goes up to 2x (10 to 50 mm²) on the main power terminals. That's a two-wire-per-clamp design — you can land two conductors of the same size under one screw, which saves a terminal block row in the panel.
Switching frequency and duty-cycle limits
Maximum switching rates per duty class: 900 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive loads), 350/h at AC-2 (slip-ring motors), 850/h at AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors), and 250/h at AC-4 (plugging/inching).
