Rated at 45 kW in AC-2 duty at 400 V, this contactor handles slip-ring motor reversing and plugging applications. In AC-4 duty at 400 V it carries 80 A, covering inching and reversing of squirrel-cage motors. At 500 V it delivers 55 kW, and at 690 V it delivers 25.4 kW — useful for higher-voltage motor circuits common in European and export panels. The auxiliary contact block is rated for 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V DC — enough for PLC-level signal switching and relay interposing. Main contacts handle 230 V at 6 A and 400 V at 3 A for resistive loads. Maximum switching rates: 900 cycles/hour at AC-1, 350 at AC-2, 850 at AC-3, and 250 at AC-4. The operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, storage from -55 to +80 °C, with pollution degree 3 for industrial environments. Front-side protection is IP20 with cover or box terminal; the terminal itself is IP00. Wire capacity: solid 2x (0.25...2.5 mm²) for control, stranded 2x (10...50 mm²) for power, and 2x (2.5...16 mm²) for mixed connections. The contactor is RoHS compliant with substance prohibition date of May 1, 2012, and operates at 50 Hz rated frequency with a voltage operating range of 0.8...1.1 at 50 Hz.
Dimensions: 146 mm height, 70 mm width, 139 mm depth. The 70 mm width matches the S3 frame footprint — verify clearance for the arc chute and auxiliary contact block if adding one. Screw terminals accept up to 50 mm² stranded on the power side; use ferrules for stranded conductors to avoid whiskers under the screw head. The IP20 front cover is adequate for most enclosed panels; if the contactor is mounted near the gland plate, maintain at least the IP00 clearance for the live terminals.
