SIRIUS Size S6 Power Contactor — 42-48 V Coil
The coil is rated for 42-48 V (VAC or VDC), making it suitable for control circuits operating in that voltage band — common in 48 VDC auxiliary supplies or 42 VAC step-down transformer feeds. Switching capacity at 24 V rated value is 10 A, at 48 V it drops to 2 A, and at 110 V it handles 1 A, so the auxiliary contacts are sized for signal-level loads, not main power. The contactor mounts via screw fixing on a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front-to-back, which covers most panel layouts without special brackets.
Duty Cycles and Switching Frequency
Rated switching frequency varies by duty class: AC-1 (resistive loads) allows up to 800 operations per hour, AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting) permits 1000 ops/h, AC-4 (plugging/inching) limits to 130 ops/h. The AC-3e rating matches the AC-3 figure at 1000 ops/h.
Main power circuit accepts stranded conductors from 25 to 120 mm² — substantial cross-section for the Size S6 current rating. The magnet coil uses spring-type terminals, accepting solid or stranded wire 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²). Auxiliary switch wiring shares the same 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) spring-cage range. The single 9 mm mounting hole per fixing point is standard for this frame class. Dimensions: 172 mm height, 120 mm width, 170 mm depth.
