SIRIUS S6 power contactor — DC coil, auxiliary contacts onboard
The 3RT1054-6XJ46-0LA2: Rated for 6 A at 24 V DC on the auxiliary circuit, the contactor also handles 2 A at 48 V DC, 2 A at 60 V DC, 1 A at 110 V DC, and 0.9 A at 125 V DC — covering control voltages common across European and North American panels.
Switching frequency and duty cycle ratings
Maximum switching frequency varies by duty class: 800 operations/hour in AC-1 (resistive loads), 400/h in AC-2 (slip-ring motors), 1,000/h in AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors — the most common motor-starting category), and 130/h in AC-4 (plugging/reversing). DC switching frequencies: 400/h for DC-1 (resistive), 500/h for DC-3 (shunt motors), and 500/h for DC-5 (series motors). AC-3e rating matches AC-3 at 1,000/h.
Fastening is screw fixing (not DIN rail), with a single 9 mm mounting hole. The contactor measures 172 mm high, 120 mm wide, and 170 mm deep — the S6 frame is a substantial footprint that needs planning in the panel layout. Terminal capacity accepts solid or stranded conductors: 2x 0.5 to 1.5 mm², 2x 0.75 to 2.5 mm², and up to 2x 0.75 to 4 mm² — covers standard control wiring in both metric and AWG equivalents.
