SIRIUS Power Contactor, Size S6 — 23-26 VDC Coil
The coil is rated for 23-26 VDC, so a standard 24 VDC control supply lands right in the middle of the operating band — no dropping resistor or voltage regulator needed. Screw fixing to the mounting surface is the intended method; the single 9 mm hole pattern suits backplate or sub-panel layouts. The main power circuit accepts stranded conductors from 25 to 120 mm², covering the range for a Size S6 contactor's typical motor branch. The auxiliary circuit uses spring-type terminals for 2x (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire — no screw torque to verify on the aux side, which saves time during panel wiring.
Switching Duty and Mechanical Endurance
Maximum operating rates are specified per duty category: 800 cycles/hour in AC-1 (resistive), 750 cycles/hour in AC-3 and AC-3e (standard motor starting), 300 cycles/hour in AC-2 (slip-ring motor), and 130 cycles/hour in AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3 and AC-3e rates are the ones that matter for most conveyor, pump, and fan applications — 750 ops/h is generous for a Size S6 frame and leaves headroom for frequent cycling.
Auxiliary Contact Ratings and Environmental Limits
The integrated auxiliary switch is rated at 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, and 1 A at 110 V. These are the continuous thermal current ratings for the aux contacts — useful for interlocking, status feedback, or PLC input circuits. Mounting position allows vertical surface rotation of ±90° and tilt of ±22.5° front-to-back, which gives flexibility in tight enclosures.
Mounting Clearances and Physical Dimensions
Physical envelope: 172 mm height, 120 mm width, 170 mm depth. These are the ventilation and arc-chamber clearance requirements — don't crowd the contactor against other heat sources or the enclosure door.
