SIRIUS S6 contactor with DC coil
The 3RT1056-2XJ46-0LA2: Physical footprint is 172 mm high by 120 mm wide by 170 mm deep, mounted via screw fixing to a vertical surface.
Switching performance and duty ratings
Switching frequency varies by duty class: up to 800 operations per hour in AC-1 (resistive), 750/h in AC-3 and AC-3e (standard motor starting), 300/h in AC-2 (slip-ring motor), and 130/h in AC-4 (plugging/inching). For DC loads, the contactor handles 400/h in DC-1, 350/h in DC-3 and DC-5. These rates define the thermal cycling limit of the main contacts — exceeding them accelerates wear, particularly in AC-4 where the arc energy is highest. DC switching capacity is specified at multiple voltage points: 6 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.9 A at 125 V. This is the maximum continuous current the contacts can make and break under DC inductive loads — derate further for highly inductive circuits like DC motor fields.
Environmental range and wiring
The solid/stranded wire range is 2x 0.25 to 2.5 mm² per terminal — standard for control wiring in a panel. The single 9 mm mounting hole suits M8 hardware.
