The coil pulls 200-277 V AC/DC and at 24 V rated value it handles 200 A — that's the DC-1 resistive rating, not the AC-3 motor switching number, so match your duty cycle to the right column. The main power circuit accepts stranded cable from 70 up to 240 mm² — that's a serious lug range, sized for the full S10 frame capacity. Auxiliary switch is included on the unit, saving a separate add-on for feedback or status indication.
Arcing time runs 10-15 ms; the contactor opens in 80-100 ms on both AC and DC. Enclosure rating is IP00 on the body, IP20 on the front with the supplied cover or box terminal. That means it's not washdown-rated — keep it inside a sealed cabinet if there's moisture or dust.
Switching frequency and duty cycles
The contactor is rated for different switching frequencies depending on the load category: 750 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive), 250/h at AC-2 (slip-ring motors), 500/h at AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors), and 130/h at AC-4 (plugging/inching) (-). If your application runs frequent jogging or reversing, the AC-4 limit is the one that governs — don't spec it for 500/h on a reversing conveyor.
