The Siemens SIRIUS power contactor 3RT1065-2XF46-0LA2 is an S10-frame unit with a 110 V DC coil, built for motor switching in control panels. Rated for AC-3 duty at 500 operations per hour, it handles the repetitive start/stop cycles typical of conveyors and pumps. The DC coil holds in at 77 V (0.7 × rated) and picks at 137.5 V (1.25 × rated) — the pull-in margin matters when the bus sags under load.
Clearance and mounting
Mounts via screw fixing on a vertical surface, rotatable ±90° and tiltable ±22.5° front-to-back. A single 11 mm mounting hole is provided.
Switching performance and thermal limits
Arcing time runs 10 to 15 ms; DC operating delay (pick-up to dropout) spans 80 to 100 ms. Maximum switching rates vary by duty: 700 ops/h for AC-1 resistive loads, 500 ops/h for AC-3 motor starting, 250 ops/h for AC-2 slip-ring motors, and 130 ops/h for AC-4 plugging/reversing. On DC loads, the rate is 350 ops/h across DC-1, DC-3, and DC-5.
Terminal capacity and auxiliary contacts
Main power terminals accept 2× (0.25 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire — the twin-entry is handy for looping through to a second contactor without a separate terminal block. An auxiliary switch is built in, saving a rail slot on the DIN assembly.
DC switching capacity
DC switching currents at the coil voltage: 6 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.9 A at 125 V. These are the make/break limits for the auxiliary contacts — useful when interposing to a PLC output or a DC control bus.
