Siemens SIRIUS 3RT1065-6AS36 — S10 Power Contactor
Screw fixing to the mounting surface, with a vertical mount that can rotate ±90° or tilt ±22.5° front-to-back — useful when you're fitting into a tight cabinet layout and need to orient the contactor around busbars or duct. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 20 mm forwards, 10 mm at the side — so you need at least 222 mm of clear depth inside the enclosure to the door or cover. Power-side connections accept stranded cable from 70 mm² up to 240 mm² — that's a serious cable range, typical for the main feed on a large motor branch or a distribution subfeed. The auxiliary switch is included as standard (screw-type terminals on the coil), rated at 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V or 60 V, and 1 A at 110 V — enough for signaling back to a PLC input or a control relay.
Switching Duty and Mechanical Life
Rated for 800 operations per hour in AC-1 (resistive) duty, 500 ops/h in AC-3 (standard motor starting), and 130 ops/h in AC-4 (plugging/inching). For a conveyor drive cycling every 7 seconds, the AC-3 rate is fine; for a crane hoist with frequent reversing, the AC-4 limit governs. The coil pick-up is 0.8 of rated voltage initially, and holds at 0.9 of rated at 50 or 60 Hz.
The contactor is designed for screw fixing to a vertical mounting surface, with the rotation and tilt allowances noted above. No DIN-rail clip on this frame size; it's a bolt-down part.
