SIRIUS S10 power contactor — 96-127 V AC coil, 240 mm² termination
The 3RT1065-6SF36: Power wiring accepts stranded conductors from 70 up to 240 mm², which covers the full range of motor feeder cables for a contactor this size. The auxiliary switch is included on the unit, so no separate add-on block is needed for basic feedback or interlocking.
Switching frequency and duty-cycle limits
Maximum switching rates are duty-dependent: 500 operations per hour under AC-1 (resistive) and AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting) duty, 250 ops/h under AC-2 (slip-ring motor), and 130 ops/h under AC-4 (plugging/inching). AC-3e duty also permits 500 ops/h. These are the thermal limits of the contactor — exceeding them shortens the electrical life of the main contacts. Arcing time is 10-15 ms, and the total make/break time at AC or DC is 115-130 ms. The contactor is rated for 10,000,000 typical mechanical operations, so the mechanical endurance far exceeds the electrical endurance under heavy switching.
Panel mounting and clearances
Mounting is by screw fixing through an 11 mm hole. Overall dimensions are 210 mm height, 145 mm width, 202 mm depth. The auxiliary switch terminals accept 2 × (0.5-1.5 mm²) solid or 2 × (0.75-2.5 mm²) stranded, with a maximum of 2 × (0.75-4 mm²).
Environmental and reliability data
The listed MTBF is 75 a, which is a calculated figure under typical industrial conditions — not a guaranteed service life, but a reliability benchmark for maintenance planning.
