The contactor measures 145 mm wide by 202 mm deep by 210 mm high, with screw fixing as the fastening method. These are the minimum air gaps to adjacent metalwork or enclosures for proper arc quenching and heat dissipation; a panel builder should budget these into the gland plate and busbar layout.
Switching performance and mechanical endurance
The arcing time is 10-15 ms, and the opening/closing times are 115-130 ms for both AC and DC operation. Maximum switching rates: 500 operations per hour in AC-1 and AC-3 duty, 250/h in AC-2, and 130/h in AC-4. For AC-3e the rate is also 500/h. These limits govern the contactor's suitability for frequent start-stop cycles — a conveyor or pump with repeated jogging will need to stay within the AC-4 ceiling of 130 operations per hour. The listed MTBF is 75 years, and the typical mechanical life of the contactor is 10,000,000 operations. The auxiliary switch is included as standard, which simplifies BOM consolidation for control circuits that need a feedback contact.
