SIRIUS S12 power contactor, 220-240 V AC coil
It is fitted with a 220-240 V AC 50/60 Hz coil using screw-type terminals, and the main power circuit accepts stranded conductors from 70 to 240 mm². The contactor measures 214 mm high by 160 mm wide by 225 mm deep, mounts via screw fixing with 11 mm diameter holes, and allows a +/-90° rotatable or +/-22.5° tiltable mounting position on a vertical surface. Clearance distances are 10 mm upwards, downwards, and to the side, and 20 mm forwards. The coil pickup is rated at 0.8 x rated value (176 V minimum) and the dropout at 1.1 x rated value (242 V maximum), per the datasheet operating limits.
Switching performance and duty ratings
Maximum switching frequency varies by duty class: 500 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive), 420 per hour at AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting), 170 per hour at AC-2 (slip-ring motor), and 130 per hour at AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating matches the AC-3 figure at 420 ops/h. An auxiliary switch is included (screw-type terminals), rated at 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, and 1 A at 110 V. The auxiliary and coil terminals accept solid or stranded conductors: 2x 0.5-1.5 mm², 2x 0.75-2.5 mm², or max 2x 0.75-4 mm².
For panel builders or MRO planners who need to match an existing S12 footprint, the 3RT1076-6AP36 uses the same physical envelope and mounting pattern as other S12-frame contactors in the SIRIUS family. The coil voltage (220-240 V AC) is the primary distinguishing spec for this variant.
